TOUCHBASE 2003

"As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him." Psalm 18:30

May this find you ready to take a stand. Ready to be still. Ready to take action and move when and only when God says to move. He is faithful to watch over His word to perform it. He'll redeem any time you might have lost in pursuing other things...if you'll just surrender it all to Him --- the past, present, and future. Be filled with the hope of His glory in Jesus name. Amen.

TOUCH BASE...some of us really need to do this more often. I'm not talking about just visiting the Military Installations necessarily. Why are we 'stationed' in the locations that we are? What are we doing while we are there? For some of us the reason might be our neighbors, the elderly, the prisoners, the fatherless, the widow, the orphan, the lonely, the forgotten, or those that have no hope. It might be just a temporary time that you are where you are, and the reason is waiting to be discovered in prayer if it's not already obvious.

Today I found a tape that was from a prophecy spoken over me about two years ago. I must have listened to it at least three times today so that it could really sink in. Everything that God spoke to me through the mouths of His servants; has come to pass, and it still is coming true to this day. I praise God that our lack of wisdom does not stop his amazing wonders from taking place in our lives. That He acts on behalf of those who fear Him and hope in His unfailing love.

"There is no riskier vulnerbility than to live in friendship with God, because every friendship changes us..." ~Paul J. Wadell

Attended a meeting with the Chaplains via an invitation from a local church. Kinda wondered what I was doing there, but my purpose was sure ----God had a plan! Turns out one of the Chaplains invites my sister and I over for dinner with Him and His wife and another friend, Richard who has a heart to see God's will done here and beyond. It was one of the most 'real' experiences ever. The Chaplains wife was asking tons of questions, expressing her interest in what we have been doing. In so many words explaining her heart for the Lord and the entire time our hearts were inwardly rejoicing over what the Lord has been doing, seen and unseen. God has literally brought this team of Chaplains together, and they are seeking wholeheartedly to do the will of the Lord no matter what it takes.

Indeed, they are not interested in what church a person goes to as much as they are completely devoted to sharing the opportunity of knowing how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. For those that are coming from churches or organizations, they welcome them as long as they are spirit lead, and not searching to promote or meet their own agendas *attendance levels etc.,*. This is such a miracle! It is so awesome to serve with fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord that are desiring pure motives, and are seeking to please no other than Jesus alone. I GIVE YOU GLORY AND HONOR LORD!!! YOU ARE MARVELOUS!!

"We slander God by our very eagerness to work for Him without knowing Him." ~Oswald Chambers

Two of my musician friends Tim Gamelle and Patrick Walsh arrived Oct 4th, coming from Charleston, SC. Moved here by faith. The second day they are here we went to a picnic, the Chaplains had invited us to the other night at dinner. God had been putting a desire in our (Michele and I and then Tim & Patrick)hearts to be involved in more 'on Base' activities. We played some music while everyone else was eating...a few minutes later we were asked to consider playing worship for service at the Chapel on Sunday. The first night Tim, Patrick, Jason Miller *my friend that moved here by faith in August who is also a musician* and I played some worship music together; we expressed the desire to hopefully do this on Base and abroad. It is so wonderful how God arranged every circumstance fulfilling the desires of our hearts, and confirming the purpose of their 'move' by faith...and God continues to add to us daily.

"Without blood - you only have religion." ~Cross Movement

Visited an elderly woman by the name of Roberta with one of my friend's Joe. This lady had lived in this house since 1949, her husband had passed away, and she takes the city transit system *the bus* if she needs to go somewhere. It seemed as though she was excited to talk of just about anything. Obviously when you're alone it is a rare privilege to speak with someone, to know that someone actually thought of you. God was thinking about her. We gave her our contact numbers and encouraged her to call either of us if she needed anything at all. FATHER, PLEASE HELP US NOT TO FORGET THE GENERATION BEFORE US, YOU LONG FOR THEM TO KNOW THAT THEY ARE YOUR HEART TOO.

"Etched in each heart is the vision you give. Your word cuts to the very depths, it offends." ~Marcie L. Mayo

Heard a song on the Christian Radio that was clearly a country song. It reminded me of a day when one of my dearest friends was suggesting that I learn a few country songs. He encouraged me that it would truly touch hearts for God. At that time I was too self-righteous to even consider such a thing. When the truth is: God will use many many things that we would not 'approve of' for His glory. What really matters is the 'heart' or the 'attitude' of the heart behind all we do or say. This is one the song: You move me, by Garth Brooks.

This is how it seems to me
life is only therapy
real expensive and
no guarantees
So I lie here on the couch
with my heart hanging out
Frozen solid with fear
like a rock in the ground
oh but you moved me
you give me courage I didn't know I had
You moved me
Now I can't go with you and stay where I am
so You moved me
This is how love was to me
I could look and not see
going through the emotions not knowing what they mean
and it scared me so much
that I just wouldn't budge or move
might of stayed there forever
if not for your touch
oh You moved me
out of myself and into the fire
now I'm burning with love, hope, and desire
how You move me
You go whistling in the dark
making light of it
and I follow with my heart
laughing all the way
You move me
You get me dancing
and You make me sing...
Now I'm taking delight in every little thing
of how you move me
YOU MOVE ME

We all have so much to learn, but are we willing? We have so much to be grateful for, but are we thankful? I pray that each time you receive these 'updates' you are challenged. That you come away from reading this with more of a desire to KNOW GOD and more of a passion to MAKE HIM KNOWN. Reach out wherever you are. Step outside of your own mindset, your normal thought patterns and realize there are so many people around you that are hoping and praying someone will have the courage to take the first step --- and be their friend.

Don't neglect spending time with Him. Time alone with God is what makes your time with others effective and unforgetable. In that time...treasure awaits you.

Deuteronomy 23:14
"For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee."
