PROFIT OF PAIN

Internal bleeding clothed in dust - I am Your vessel
Tragedies, disappoinments, heartaches - You know I wrestle
With reminders of what I could have done better
Opportunities missed from my short sighted arrogance

Memories of sadness from breaking Your heart
Father to Daughter letting me know my part
By taking Your position front and center
Correcting by Your kindness always tender

Pain comes from living life and growing up
Pain can profit as it can be proof
Of endurance and determination
Evidence that we are alive and not dead
Give thanks to Him who gives hope the promise He personally fulfills
And no matter what can use pain so perfectly for His glory - we are healed

Do not allow yourself to complain or self pity to enter your door
Anything in this world we endure
Is only light and momentary compared to the glory
That will soon be revealed in us one day...

IF I COULD

If I could understand the depths of knowledge
and live beyond trust in my wallet
If I could discern with wisdom and truth
instead of measuring myself by what others say and do

If I could stop allowing my eyes and stomach to rule
and begin exercising my senses
Eating spiritually as much and as often
allowing the word of God to be my direction

If I could put an end to the influence of insecurities
and silence the whispering lies
That attempt to take me a part from the truth
and remind me of past times

I would if I could
I will because I can
Submit myself to God and Offer my body as a living sacrafice
resisting the enemy steadfast and doing all I can to stand

Opposed to all that opposses the Kingdom of God
actively contending for the rest of the Saints
Forgiving every debt as mine has been erased
doing good to all especially to the household of faith

IN THAT DAY

Hopeful heart do not despair
Fear not for the future cast your cares
It was written before time
everlasting and saving words divine
Ministering hope and healing
for those who are dealing
With the prodigal and the promise
of that which is yet to come
Falling apart at the feet of the Holy One
Crying out and coming undone
Repentence and severity much sorrow brings
Done with earthly things
Courage is not afraid
But goes forward to meet the enemy face to face
In that day all will see the truth revealed
Another word spoken by the prophets is being fulfilled

KING OF GLORY

King of Glory be glorified in me
Be glorified in Your people
Be glorified in the nations
On every street, in every steeple

Let every knee bow
every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord
and they that seek You are blessed

Blessed that you are glorified
in the work of Your hands
Blessed to please You and to serve fellowman
having done all to stand, they stand

Firm on the promises unfailing
Deeply rooted and grounded in love
Delighting themselves in You
Setting their mind on things above

Be glorified King of Glory
Exalted and lifted high
Let the fruit of our lips proclaim
You alone satisfy---

CAST UPON YOU

Deeply daily I am waiting for
Direction to move these feet
Longing searching needing
To be cast upon You

Awake listening breathing
Responding to the light
Where in every place my thoughts
Are cast upon You

Expression Calling knowing
There is more than what I see
Feeling what is crying out in me
I must be cast upon You

Growing up Letting go Surrender
The pain of weakness and being known
Living giving word is covenant
I am completely cast upon You.

STRONGER THAN DEATH

Do not worry Daughter

It gives Me joy to see you smile

Look around and hear the sounds
As all creation sings its praise
Smell the fragrance of falling rain
Wild roses in bloom, budding just for you

Let Me show you trails of hidden treasures
The peace and joy of My good pleasure
Take a walk with me in the trees
Let me tell you what I see

Run with me by the riverside
Exchange your thoughts for mine
Slow down, step in
Let Me wash you from within

And be to you a shelter from the storms
Your strength to climb the mountains high
Your way of escape, your wings in flight
Rescuing arms of rest to hold you through the night
