HIDDEN PLACES

HIDDEN PLACES BENEATH THE HEART
HOMELESS AND WAITING TO BE A PART
OF ACCEPTED LIVING
WAITING AROUND THE NEXT CORNER
BORED - A LONER
IGNORING THE AVERTED EYES
OF THE CARELESS PASSERBY
WHEN THE HOPELESS AT HEART
COULD VERY WELL BE
THE WELL-CLOTHED FOOL
OR THE ALMOST NAKED OUR EYES REFUSE TO SEE

“I AM RICHER THAN YOU”
THE POOR PONDER IN THEIR MINDS
WRESTLING WITH BITTERNESS TO SOME DEGREE
REACHING OUT FOR A SINGLE DROP OF KINDNESS
LONGING TO BE FOUND, TO BE FREED
BY A HEART THAT WOULD CHOOSE TO GIVE
WITHOUT SHOWING FAVORITISM
THIS INSTRUMENT OF MERCY
YOU AND ME...

IF WE WOULD ALLOW GOD IN
TO INTERRUPT OUR AGENDAS
OUR SELF APPOINTED POSITIONS
AND RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS
THEN WE COULD SEE WITH OUR EYES
AND HEAR WITH OUR EARS
TURN OUR HEARTS TO HIM

AND BE HEALED
BE REAL
TAKEN A PART, FULFILLED
FOR THE VERY PURPOSES WE WERE CREATED FOR
LORD, BURN AWAY THE DROSS
AND GIVE US PATIENT ENDURANCE TO SURRENDER IT ALL.

Mark 11:45 ...”For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Matthew 25:34 -40 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’“

God please open my heart to all of your ways, burn your words on my heart so deep that I will never look away. Jesus, that I may exist for your will and purposes alone.
